I don't miss parking in SF

This is great. I would swear that this picture posted on Boing Boing today was taken right in front of my old apartment-building in SF. (8th Avenue, between Lincoln and Irving.) I'm so positive because I must've reported people parking in that same non-spot (it's tempting — almost 3/4 of a car-length would lead most people to say 'screw it' and just hang over the sides) on at least a half-dozen occasions.

And contrary to what the note on the car says, DPT would always tell me that I had to be the property owner, or injured party (basically, the person who's car was blocked in) before I could file a complaint.

Funny stuff. Old reminiscences about one aspect of living in San Francisco that I definitely do not miss.
