My fried Mikol has snatched the golden ring, and scored the mother of all office-window views. His new commute? 25 minutes (with no time in a car.) Mikol and I used to commute from SF to Mountain View together (almost 10 years ago! God I'm old.)

We drove at least an hour each way (usually, it was closer to an hour-and-a-half) and we did it for 3 years, until Mikol took a job in Palo Alto. SF to PA is a slightly shorter commute, but then the guy drove it by himself for the next 6 years.

So homeboy has earned his Bay-area commute stripes. Fire up that iPod, Mikol, and give your leadfoot a rest. You've earned it.
